Starting this year, as with the restaurants in Athens, the presentation format for restaurants has changed to place greater emphasis on the concept of "the best in its category" for one-star ratings. Consequently, restaurants are listed according to their rating categories: 4, 3, and 2 stars, followed by one-star establishments sorted by cuisine type.
Here are the 16 restaurants in Thessaloniki that have received at least one star in the FNL Best Restaurant Awards 2025, as evaluated by the awards committee. None of these restaurants achieved four or three stars; 5 restaurants were awarded two stars (compared to 2024, one lost its stars and two were upgraded), and 11 received one star (4 restaurants lost their star, while 5 regained or earned one for the first time). Finally, only one of the city`s new restaurants was awarded a star this year.
