Luca Piscazzi has embraced Greece as his second home, but he has never forgotten his first — a homeland he has carried within him since childhood. Rome will always be Rome for Pino. That nickname, given to him as a kid, is now the name he will bear for his new restaurant in the heart of Glyfada, which is set to open soon. Pino will be an authentic Roman pizzeria serving classic pizza with a thin, crispy crust, but the menu will also feature handmade pasta, some antipasti, and beloved desserts from his childhood.

You might expect a restaurant bearing his signature to excel in fine dining. On one hand, Piscazzi will continue to showcase that side of his culinary identity at Pelagos. On the other, Pino aims to turn the focus inward — deeper, into memory. It will serve the flavours that first sparked his love for cooking and made him feel connected to the craft. Those that didn’t rely on expensive ingredients or complex techniques but held great personal significance. And he isn’t doing this to impress; he wants to reconnect with the child who once tasted something “homemade” for the first time — and realised that food could be so much more than just a necessity.

For Luca, Rome is more than just his place of origin—it`s the foundation of his relationship with flavour. The everyday simplicity of ingredients, a trust in less, and a palate that seeks clarity rather than spectacle—these are the roots he aims to express. And Pino will be the first time these roots are showcased without any filters. The setting will reflect this philosophy: warm, inviting, understated yet always elegant. Even the industrial textures — bricks, brushed metal, wood — will feature gentle, tender angles, with light and colour evoking a Mediterranean breeze. On the wine list, the spotlight will be on sparkling wines — which will also be the chef’s favourites — alongside many small Italian producers crafting hidden gems. Classic cocktails will feature prominently, and the coffee will proudly showcase its Italian heritage.

“I wanted to create a space that feels like Italy from my childhood,” says Luca Piscazzi. From the context, I see this restaurant as a continuation — from then to now — with nothing in between.

Info: Kyprou 18, Glyfada.
